Michael Harmison Sr.

Harmison's Hometown Fundraising, Inc. became incorporated in March 2004. Michael Harmison Sr., having already spent 14 years in the fund raising industry wanted to offer his customers more services, new and exciting products and the best customer service possible.

The first few months were spent researching products, services and attempting to find out what customers really want to purchase from fundraisers.

Having spent weeks visiting with customers, clients, manufactures and suppliers Mr. Harmison went to work on a custom brochure (Harmison Hometown Favorites) to offer products that customers really want. The next step was to incorporate the services that organizations had been lacking in the past.

Our customers truly appreciate the pre-packed student orders, the computer printouts showing organizations individual and group profits along with a toll free "help line" to assist with any questions or concerns. Our customers are very pleased that we were able to eliminate so many of the burdens typically associated with fundraising. As a family owned business our customers benefit from great quality personalized service as it allows us to customize a program to fit what’s in the best interest of the customer.

Not only has Harmison's had continued success in Missouri, Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin, our business continues to expand nationwide. In addition to the Harmison's Hometown Favorites brochure we also offer a variety top of the line pizzas, cookie dough, gift fruit, chocolate, popcorn, snacks, seasonal multi-brochures and the ever successful Value Discount Card Program.

Sharon Wheeler has been with the company part-time since 2011 and not only manages our marketing needs but due to the expansion of Harmison’s she is now the full time business manager. Sharon also brings past successful sales experience to our company and has sales responsibilities as well. She comes to us from Grain Valley, MO a small “hometown” suburb east of Kansas City, MO.

Megan Shepherd is our Missouri Sales Representative that joined our company in July of 2014. Megan has eight years of experience in the classroom as a Missouri Agricultural Education Instructor and FFA Advisor. Prior to joining the Harmison's Sales Team, Megan was also a loyal customer of our company during her last three years as an educator and student organization sponsor. Megan and her family currently reside in Linn, Missouri, a rural agricultural community just 20 miles east of Jefferson City, MO. Megan enjoys bringing her own experience as a Harmison's customer to help assist schools and other non-profit organizations successfully meet their financial goals.

Craig McEnany is our Iowa Sales Representative joining the company in January of 2018. Prior to joining the Harmison’s Sales Team, Craig served as a Professor/Program Chair of the Agribusiness program at Des Moines Area Community College for 30 years retiring in December 2017 and as an Iowa high school agricultural educator/FFA Advisor for 9 years. Prior to graduating from Iowa State University with his degree in Agricultural Education, Craig spent 2 ½ years working in an Iowa agricultural cooperative system in sales and grain management before earning his degree in Agricultural Education for Iowa State University. Craig and his family live in the central Iowa area where he is actively involved with a small beef cattle operation. Craig looks forward to developing a strong working relationship with current and future clients to help them achieve their financial goals utilizing the Harmison’s Fundraising program options.

Crystal Howell is just one of Harmison’s Staff Support. She is a graduate of University of Central Missouri and holds a Masters Degree. Crystal brings 5 years of multi-faceted experience working with college level to pre-k while working with schools at all levels and departments. She currently relocated to Virginia with her husband and two children. She will utilize her organizational, social media, marketing and research skills to help non-profit groups find the best Harmison’s program that fits the organizations needs and goals. Crystal will work in concert with Harmison’s Sales Team to ensure the best possible fundraising experience!
